I Do In Greece started because planning a wedding here is harder than it should be, and we learned that the hard way.
We got married in Crete in 2022. We spent eighteen months digging through Facebook groups, emailing vendors cold, losing leads to language barriers, and working from spreadsheets that kept outgrowing themselves. We loved the day. We found the planning exhausting.
Afterwards, we kept thinking: there should be a better version of this. A place where you could find vendors who'd been chosen with care, not just self-listed, and where the tools you needed to plan an overseas wedding were already built around the specifics of doing it in Greece.
That's what I Do In Greece is. A directory of professionals I'd genuinely recommend, and planning tools that start from the Greek wedding context rather than a generic template.
We don't take commission or run ads. Vendors can list for free or choose a paid plan for extra features, and couples use the tools for free. Our job is to make introductions, then get out of the way, so couples and vendors deal with each other directly.
What we’re building toward
Right now we're in the early stages: a focused directory, the core planning tools, and a small number of vendor listings. Over time we want to expand the vendor base across all regions of Greece, grow the real weddings archive, and build deeper tools for both couples and professionals.
