Dimitrios Michelakis is an artistic wedding and elopement photographer based in Chania, Crete, capturing love stories across Greece and beyond. His relationship with photography began almost by chance one October afternoon in 1997, and it became a lifelong passion, from long hours spent developing prints in the darkroom to the creative freedom of the digital era today.
For Dimitrios, photography is about more than beautiful images. He believes that as time passes, our photographs are often all we keep of the moments that matter, and he takes that responsibility seriously, working to make every frame worth holding onto. His style weaves the joy of weddings, the warmth of family connections and the intimate bonds of couples into authentic visual narratives that feel uniquely yours.

His portfolio spans destination celebrations across Greece’s most beautiful settings, from Santorini and Mykonos to Elounda and the old Venetian harbour of Chania, as well as engagements, maternity, family and christening sessions. Whatever the occasion, his aim is the same: to craft happy memories that let you travel back in time, again and again.
